Big Pole Trail

Big Pole Trail

DIRECTIONS:  From Main Street in Heber, take Center Street (which turns into Lake Creek Road) for 4.3 miles. Turn left onto 5380 E, then right onto Big Pole Dr. Continue for .8 miles up Big Pole Dr, the trailhead is on the north side of the road, between mailboxes 190 and 220.

Difficulty Level: Easy/Moderate

LENGTH: About 3 miles in-and-out, make it as short or long as you'd like

AVERAGE HIKE TIME: We like to spend at least an hour exploring this area

TRAIL USERS: Hikers, bikers, horses, and dogs

BEST TIME OF YEAR TO HIKE: Early spring/summer/fall

COST: free

TRAIL CONDITIONS: Beautiful single track

SUN EXPOSURE: This trail is mostly exposed, bring plenty of sunscreen and water

WATER: Nope

RESTROOM: None

WATCH FOR: Cactus! In the summer they have beautiful flowers, but beware the needles! Show lots of love and gratitude for the generous residents of Big Pole and the trail builders by leaving no trace!
