For the thousands of women living in the Heber Valley, the arrival of Maurices—an all-women’s store—was like opening presents on Christmas morning. Founded in Minnesota in 1939 with just one boutique-style store, Maurices now has more than 900 stores throughout the United States.
According to Christy Ford, opening a store in Heber Valley was an easy choice. After five years of researching the area, Maurices opened its Heber location in June of 2012, hiring all local employees. “Maurices has a corporate backing but prides itself on being a community partner,” says Ford.
Maurices loves partnering with smaller communities but offers a wide selection of women’s clothing, footwear, and jewelry. With clothing and apparel ranging from petite to plus sizes, Maurices offers something to make all women feel beautiful.
What makes Maurices stand out is its focus on customer service and care. With the emphasis of serving their customers, the fashionable and affordable products make shopping at Maurices a delight.
Located in the new Valley Station shopping center, Maurices sees a lot of traffic from locals and tourists alike. While business remains steady throughout the year, nearly 30 percent of its sales happen during the holiday season. To engage the local community, Christy and her staff are proud members of the Heber Valley Chamber where they get to interact with other local business leaders each month.
