Heber City Cowboy Poetry

15th Annual Heber City's Cowboy Poetry Gathering and Buckaroo Fair

Our Mission

"To promote the cowboy way of life through music, poetry and art by holding an annual Cowboy Poetry Gathering and Buckaroo Fair and by giving back to the community along the way."

Heber City hosts one of the nation’s largest Cowboy Poetry gatherings each November. The event, which draws more than 40,000 attendees, features such performers as Waddie Mitchell, Michael Martin Murphey, Riders in the Sky, Ian Tyson, Red Steagal and Utah favorites, the Bar J Wranglers and Brenn Hill.

Heber City’s Cowboy Poetry Gathering and Buckaroo Fair includes 40 western booths with arts, our local  favorite Tommy's Texas BBQ serving lunch and dinner , crafts and cowboy gear, mountain man camp, cowboy church and nonstop cowboy poetry and entertainment. Other popular attractions include a horse extravaganza and a Cowboy Express Train, with poets performing on The Heber Valley Historic Railroad.
