Cost: Just your time. The seminar is free.
Learn a better, simpler, money saving way to garden using the Mittleider Method. This system of gardening will teach your how to grow enough food to feed a family on 1/20th of an acre. Healthy plants yield more fruit and naturally are more resistant to bugs and disease. This method will teach you what your plants need and how to know if your plants are healthy and what to do if more nutrition is needed. Save water -- water for only 30-60 seconds each day. You can grow a garden in any soil, without using manure, compost or mulch.
Jim Kennard, president of the Food For Everyone Foundation, will be the presenter. He has traveled throughout the world teaching the Mittleider Method, commonly known as the "poor mans hydroponic" method of gardening. We are lucky to have Jim visit in Midway.
The training will last for 2 hours in the building (10am - noon) and for 2 hours in the garden (12:15-2pm). Refreshments will be served in the garden at noon.
