You may not know this but there are over 30 local restaurants in the Heber Valley to choose from. From best burgers, to sweets, to good old fashion cooking you'll be able to find somethings just for you!
With cool mountain evenings, beautiful sunsets, and delicious food, Heber Valley is a great place dine "al fresco." Here are some great places to try this summer or fall.
Here are my three favorite places to dine outdoors in the Heber Valley.
Sitting just off the number 10 tee of the Crater Springs Golf Course, the patio seating at Fanny’s Grill offers you the country club feel, but without the high dues of membership. The patio extends over a geothermal spring pond that is known to have elegant geese, swans and coy fish swimming by.
Fanny’s is open for breakfast and lunch making it a perfect place to either start your day off right with clean mountain air, or a nice midday break from the office grind.
One of the best things about dining at Café Galleria is the energy you feel when you’re there. The light traffic on Main Street, the low dim of people conversing around you, and of course the live music from 5 to 9 daily all add to the liveliness of such this fun place to eat. Drive down Midway Main Street almost any evening during the summer and you’re bound to feel the pull of the good vibes coming from the fresh air patio of Café Galleria pulling you in.
Recently, they have upgraded many of their tables on the patio area making it more comfortable and appealing to eat as the Italians say “al fresco.”
A new member to the list is Midway Mercantile. Opening in February 2018, owners John and Sandra Plat, recently finished the outdoor seating area of their new restaurant. The patio feels like a secluded garden made just for you and you friends. The patio seating is just one of the four different styles of seating featured at the Mercantile. The variety of dining atmospheres matches the quality and style of food. At Midway Mercantile you can enjoy some fresh seafood in a romantic setting, or a fresh spin on pizza in the sports lounge, or an adult beverage in a beautifully crafted bar.
Main Street Social
Take it from the name, at Main Street Social, being social is all part of the experience. Built in an 1880s pioneer era home, Main Street Social in Heber is the valley's first ever gastro-pub style experience. With cozy seating indoors, you and your dining neighbors may just end up friends and returning over and over again. The outdoor patio is shaded 90% of the day by large mature trees that make the patio comfortable and inviting even on the warmest days of the year. Live music on the outdoor stage greets you each weekend. So grab a friend, a spouse or buddy to enjoy delicious American cuisine elevated by class, style and flavor.
Back 40 Ranch House
Probably the most famous steak house in all of Heber Valley, Back 40 Ranch House sits on the each of Heber City with grand windows overlooking lush green fields and spectacular views of Mount Timpanogos. Take it to the next level and dine outdoors on the patio to get the full experience of mountain breezes, serene views, and all while enjoying some of the best steak and seafood around. The owners with roots from Texas will welcome you in to their restaurant with that southern hospitality we all know and love.
Lola's has always been a dining outdoors experience, 12 months out of the year. When Lola's Street Kitchen came on seen in the Heber Valley a few years ago they quickly became the go-to food truck in town. Where ever they park the crowds follow. New in 2018, Lola's has opened up physical location in down town Midway. Now they feature some indoor seating, but skip it until the weather gets too cold because their outdoor patio begs to be enjoyed. Sitting on along Main Street in the quiet town of Midway, you can enjoy tasty food while still maintaining a conversation.
