Join us for the Provo River Clean Up on Saturday, April 22 (Earth Day). Meet at Provo Canyon's Vivian Park from 9 am to 2 pm and help us clean up our beloved Provo River from the debris and garbage that collects over the winter. A BBQ will be available from noon to 2 pm at Vivian Park.
Our Mission: In the future, riverbanks, stream beds, parking areas, and highways will have no trace of garbage, because anglers will get in the habit of "fishing for garbage" every time they fish. We believe that there are more fishermen than litterers. This simple ratio will cure the problem. Even a few fishermen who routinely do this can keep an entire canyon clean. A small army of humble anglers can win the battle.
Our Message: Fill your net full of garbage every time you are done fishing, and take it home and dispose of it properly. Better yet, take a trash bag with you every time and stuff it in your waders, then when you are done fishing, fill it full of garbage on the way back to your car. Then dispose of the garbage properly.
