Winter and Summer Adventures Abound

The Wasatch Mountains are home to a variety of activities for both winter and summer fun. During the summer months you'll find trails for hiking and biking, lakes and rivers for fishing and boating, and forests for camping and exploring. Winter activities include world-class ski resorts in Park City, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice skating and ice fishing.

Cascade Springs Nature Trail

Center Canyon

This four mile out-and-back route follows Center Canyon through aspen forests and meadows of columbine. Wildlife is common, including the occasional rattlesnake, so keep a watchful eye.

Clegg Canyon

Currant Creek Reservoir, a high mountain reservoir in a beautiful setting, borders the outskirts of Wasatch County. This 290 surface-acre reservoir is stocked with rainbow, brown, and cutthroat trout.

Daniels Creek

Daniels Creek is a favorite fishing stream located just east of Heber Valley in Daniels Canyon. Highway 40 follows the stream nearly the length of the canyon, allowing for access virtually anywhere along the stream.

Deer Creek Reservoir

On a hot summer day, Deer Creek Reservoir is the perfect place to cool off. Scenic Deer Creek is situated at the base of Mount Timpanogos in the southwest corner of Heber Valley. Daily canyon winds create ideal conditions for sailing and wind-surfing.
