November 25th, 2017

2017 SHOP LOCAL SATURDAY

We are excited for our 5th annual Shop Local Saturday and Tree Lighting event on November 25. Join the Heber Valley Chamber in this nationwide movement to promote local shopping during the holiday season. We invite you to take advantage of some amazing deals offered up by dozens of local businesses. Eat turkey on Thursday, sleep in on Friday and Shop Local Saturday!

GREAT DEALS

This year over 25 businesses are offering great deals throughout the entire week from November 20 - 25 and others just Saturday, November 25.

Benefits of Shopping Local -

Job Creation - When a small business opens its doors for business they create jobs many of which pay well. Well paying jobs create more disposable income for people to use within the community.

Pays for public Services - A large portion of Heber and Midway city's income comes from sales tax which pays for services such as police, parks, roads, and much more.

Creates local partnerships - By supporting our local businesses we create lasting partnerships in which businesses owners feel connected and committed to the community. Many times these local businesses donate to fundraisers, charity events, and so much more.

New this year - we are excited to offer Shop Local BINGO. We are mailing these BINGO cards to every resident in Wasatch County. Visit your favorite stores between now and November 25 for a validation. For every five in a row you get a chance to win a $500 local shopping spree. Turn your BINGO card in at the Tree Lighting where we will choose a winner for the $500 shopping spree and have several other great prizes.

Kick off the holiday season at the annual Tree Lighting Celebration at the Midway Town Square. In addition to the lighting of the square this year we are excited to host a Christmas sing-a-long and Suss Cookies and Grand Valley Bank will be donating cookies and cocoa. Dress warm as this is an outdoor event. Lola's Artisan Food Truck will be there with hot gourmet food. Be sure to bring the kids for a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

We will have the Swiss Miss and the High Valley Arts Singers lead a Christmas Sing-a-long as we turn on the lights at the Midway Town Square.
