One of the best things about Heber Valley during the summer is the different outdoor concerts available around town.
With such a beautiful setting the valley is the perfect place to kick back on the grass, maybe grab a picnic and a cold drink and listen to some music. There's at least two concerts a week and a different performer every concert so you wouldn’t believe the diversity our summer concerts have to offer.
This week we’ve got some country rock and bluegrass coming your way. It kicks off with the country rock band Block & Tackle performing Thursday night, 6:30pm at the Heber City Main Street Park. The concert takes place in conjunction with the Farmers Market so there are plenty of vendors selling crafts, fresh produce and delicious food—making it the perfect place to wander and enjoy the music. Bring a blanket or chairs to spread out on the lawn though since there isn’t a bad seat in the house.
The concerts and Farmers Market happen every Thursday during the summer. For a complete schedule check here. Be sure to mark your calendars for July 25th when the performing band will be the Holy Water Buffalo, a Heber Valley local favorite.
If one concert isn’t enough or country rock just isn’t your style, be sure to head over to the Homestead Resort Saturday night, 7pm for Bittersweet Bluegrass, a down-home, yip-yawing, yee-hawing good band! Bittersweet Bluegrass is an all-girl, Utah-based band playing traditional bluegrass instruments —guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin and bass.
Call ahead to order a famous Homestead picnic dinner for two or buy concessions the night off and relax in the shaded and charming atmosphere of the Homestead. Concerts are every Saturday night and a complete schedule is here.
So pack a picnic, grab a blanket and get outdoors to enjoy some summer tunes!
