The Midway Ice Castle has been taking shape for several weeks. Since late December ice builder Brent Christensen and his crew of ice builders started growing their icicles. For weeks now the ice builders have been doing their best to grow icicles into the fortress of ice at their new location at Soldier Hollow. Mother Nature is just feeling a little spring in her step, and Old Man Winter must be taking a nap because winter just hasn't arrived this year.
Don't miss your chance this weekend to see the Midway Ice Castle with two acres of beautiful ice canyons, slides, caves and a spectular light show. Due to the unseasonable warm weather, the Ice Castle will be open from 6:00 pm to midnight on January 23, 24, and from just 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm on Monday, January 26. Depending on the weather it is unclear what the operational hours will be after Tuesday, January 27. Check the website for more information.
To make the most of your experience, go online, all tickets must be purchased online. Request your time to visit the Midway Ice Castle. This season may be as short as a snowman in springtime, so don't delay.
