Heber Valley to host 2018 Outdoor Summit

Heber Valley will host the Utah Office of Outdoor Recreations annual Outdoor Summit this year at the Zermatt Ut Resort, September 4th through the 6th. Speakers and attendees from all over the state will convene in the Heber Valley to discuss protecting, promoting, and preserving Utah's unique outdoor offering.

Main Street to be a Burst of Color

Heber City Main Street will be getting a boost of color this summer as the first steps of a commitment to revitalize and beautify the downtown corridor. On Wednesday, April 11, in conjunction with Heber City Mayor, Kelleen Potter, and the Heber Valley Chamber of Commerce, a group of business owners, concerned citizens and city staff gathered at the Heber Valley Chamber Office to launch the newly formed Main Street Beautification Committee.

New Branding Announced for Heber Valley Airport

Heber City announced the rebranding of the city’s municipal airport with a new logo that parallels the recently refreshed branding of Heber City, while providing an individual identity for the well-established airport. As part of the branding process, the airport’s name was simplified from the Heber City Municipal Airport to Heber Valley Airport in a nod to the airport’s origins when founded as Heber Valley Airport.

RTA expanding after years of rapid growth

For the past five years MIRO and RTA have been housed in the same facility. Nate Sargent, president and CEO, said it was a goal of theirs to someday have to split the companies into two different facilities. During the last year both companies grew by at least 25 percent, facilitating the need to expand. On April, 28, 2017, MIRO Industries and sister company Rooftop Anchor (RTA) will be expanding their production capabilities by acquiring an additional 22,000 square foot facility and the installation of new high tech equipment in Heber City.

Wasatch CAPS opens new 8,100 square-foot facility

On Thursday, December 8, community leaders gathered at the Utah Valley University Wasatch campus for the grand opening of a new, 8,100 square-foot facility that will be utilized to house the Wasatch Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) program. The build-out of the new Wasatch CAPS facility is the result of a partnership between Utah Valley University and the Wasatch School District.

On September 27 – 29, Heber Valley Tourism will welcome Governor Gary Herbert, Lt. Governor Spencer Cox and over 350 of Utah’s tourism industry leaders to the Zermatt UT Resort for the state’s annual Tourism Conference hosted by the Utah Tourism Industry Association. Conference organizer, the Utah Tourism Association (UTIA) is a nonprofit organization that works to bolster tourism throughout the state and serve as an advocate for the industry to state officials.

Heber City Main Streets gets Crossing Upgrades

As Soldier Hollow in the Heber Valley prepares to “welcome the world” for Stage 4 of the Tour of Utah on August 6, Tyler Bluth, of Heber, prepares for the ride of his life alongside the racers in the official Tour of Utah caravan. For Bluth, who is an avid cycling fan, riding with the caravan means getting the chance to see and feel firsthand what a professional cyclist goes through, something his body won’t allow. In 1999, during his graduate school work Bluth was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of 28.
