Winter and Summer Adventures Abound

The Wasatch Mountains are home to a variety of activities for both winter and summer fun. During the summer months you'll find trails for hiking and biking, lakes and rivers for fishing and boating, and forests for camping and exploring. Winter activities include world-class ski resorts in Park City, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice skating and ice fishing.

Cascade Springs Nature Trail

Map This short walk through Cascade Springs is only half a mile, but its scenic beauty and improved trails make it enjoyable for families and hikers of all ages.

Center Canyon

Map This four mile out-and-back route follows Center Canyon through aspen forests and meadows of columbine. Wildlife is common, including the occasional rattlesnake, so keep a watchful eye.

Clegg Canyon

Co-op Creek

Cummings Parkway Loop

Map This is a long ride for experienced bikers, a minimum of 20 miles depending on variations to the route. The ride travels through conifer and aspen forest and accesses some of Wasatch County's most scenic viewpoints.

Currant Creek Nature Trail

Duchesne Ridge

Map This out-and-back ride along a dirt road follows the Duchesne Ridge to Wolf Creek Summit, overlooking the West Fork of the Duchesne canyon and offering occasional views of the High Uintas. Because the road follows the ridge, there is little change in elevation, making this a great ride for beginners and distances can be varied.

Foreman Hollow

Map This well-maintained loop trail climbs through conifer and aspen forest to reach a high plateau above Daniels Canyon. The trail crosses the plateau through a maze of quaking aspen and offers scenic views across Daniels Canyon and as far as Strawberry Reservoir.

The Great Western Trail

Map The Great Western Trail is a continuous cross-country trail stretching from Canada to Mexico, through Idaho, Utah and Arizona. The trail is a combination of single-track trails and dirt roads, traveling through some of the most spectacular scenery in Utah and Wasatch County.

Heber City Walk
