Doug Osmond of the famous Osmond family’s Second Generation will play the role of Tevye in this summer’s High Valley Arts Foundation production of “Fiddler on the Roof.” The musical will be performed in Midway, Utah’s newly landscaped outdoor summer theater. The eight performances will be staged at 8:15 p.m., June 29, 30, and July 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 9. A live-music preshow will entertain audiences each night from 7:15 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $15/$11 (adults/children) for premium spaces, and $11/$8 for regular spaces. All spaces are reserved. Guests are invited to bring their own lawn chairs or rent them for $2 at the venue. Tickets are available at Day’s Market in Heber City or through highvalleyarts.org.

Guests are also invited to bring picnic suppers, which can be purchased at a discount from local restaurants, Café Galleria, Tarahumara or Timp Freeze. “Fiddler on the Roof” will be part of Midway’s “Small Town Fourth” celebration, which includes the well-known “Wasatch Plein Air Paradise” outdoor painting competition, exhibit and sale. The Small Town Fourth festivities honor Midway’s pioneer heritage and will feature story tellers, tours of original Midway homes, pioneer artifacts, a cowboy museum and other attractions. Directions to the Midway Outdoor theater: From Interstate 80: Turn South on Highway 40. After passing through Park City, turn right onto River Road. At the round-about, turn south (last spoke on the round-about wheel). Cross Main Street in Midway and proceed to the end of the road. The theater parking will be on your right. From Highway 189: Turn left on Highway 113. When you reach the stop light at Main Street Midway, turn right. The third street to the right will be 400 east. Turn right and proceed to the end of the road. The theater parking will be on your right.
