The Heber Valley Chamber of Commerce is proud to present our 2020 Chamber Awards to the Business of the Year, Community Partner of the Year, and the Chamber Ambassador of the Year. Each year at our annual Chamber Christmas Gala we honor those businesses or individuals that have gone above and beyond show great investment, care, and pride in our community. This year due to COVID 2020 awards were given out individually. We are proud to recognize Heber Valley Hospital as the Business of the Year, Wasatch Emergency Management and Wasatch County Health Department as the Community Partners of the Year, and Josh Wright, with Global View Capital, as the Chamber Ambassador of the year.
The Business of they year award goes to a business that has shown significant commitment to the community through investment, community service and/or employee growth and retention. 2020 has been a long year with many challenges. Heber Valley Hospital has risen to the occasion as they have not only completed a major remodel of the hospital, but also has been actively helping support and take care of patient needs during COVID. Throughout the entire year the hospital staff has been constantly adjusting to provide COVID testing, care, and spread mitigation efforts. Hospital administration has been involved in community wide planning efforts, and has been vital in keeping our valley healthy. We are proud to recognize Heber Valley Hospital as the Business of the Year for 2020. Receiving the award on behalf of the hospital is Si Hutt, hospital administrator.
The Community Partner of the Year award is typically for a nonprofit, government organization or municipality. This partner has put forth great efforts into bettering our community through public outreach, unifying projects, and social good. This year we chose two partners who have been outstanding to work with and have taken great strides to help our valley cope with and get through COVID. Wasatch Emergency Management and the Wasatch County Health Department have been in overdrive this year to help support our community. From the beginning they have worked together to help get personal protective equipment to our businesses so they could reopen quickly, organized testing, vaccine clinics, and organized an incident command council of public and private leaders to help coordinate COVID efforts. Receiving the award on behalf of Emergency Management is Jeremy Hales, and Randall Probst for the Health Department.
The Chamber Ambassador is someone who has gone above and beyond in promoting and serving the chamber. They are active in the chamber organization, attending events, and providing extensive service. For 2020 we are proud to recognize Josh Wright as our chamber ambassador of the year. Before serving as the president of the chamber, Josh has served on the Adivsory Board for several years. Josh is always willing to take on tasks, help serve the businesses, and willing to give a helping hand. Not only does he find time to serve the chamber but he runs a successful financial planning busienss with Global View Capital.
The Heber Valley Chamber is very grateful and proud to recognize these organizations and individuals for their efforts in making this community and valley a better place.
