Art - Heber Valley might be small, but it is a thriving community full of unique personalities and talented artists. Throughout the year, you can visit art galleries, attend theatre productions, music events and more.



Back 40 Ranch House Grill - After a long day, feast at this family-friendly restaurant in Heber, Back 40 Ranch House Grill. They are driven by a “Farm to Table” motto. The restaurant is built on the original land with original materials from the ranch house that was built over 80 years ago. Enjoy this cozy country atmosphere for lunch or dinner.



Commemorative Air Force Utah Wing Museum - If you are passionate about airplanes or interested in history, the Commemorative Air Force Museum is for you. This museum collects historic aircraft, restores them to airworthy status and displays them as a way to honor the military. The focus of the museum is World War II, but you’ll also find displays on women in aviation and commercial aircraft. Open Thursday through Sunday, May through October, this museum is run by local volunteers.



Daughters of Utah Pioneers Museum - With no admission fee, you can also visit the Daughters of Utah Pioneers Museum that houses Heber Valley pioneer artifacts dating from the 1800s to 1900, as well as portraits of early settlers. This museum is only open for a handful of hours, Tuesday through Saturday, make sure to schedule this into your day so you don’t miss it.



Events - Whether you come in the summer or winter, escape into the arts and culture of Heber Valley’s Artiscape. In the summer, Heber Valley has over 114 arts events on their calendar! Visual art, music performances, theatre performances and cowboy poetry readings are a few of the events that visitors from all over the world attend. If you come in the winter, you will also find events for the holidays.

Fly Fishing - A big attraction in Heber Valley is fly fishing. The Provo River, Deer Creek and Jordanelle provide some of the best fishing in the county. First-timers can find help and guidance through guides and outfitters who also provide the proper equipment for this adventure. Get your waders on and give it a try — “beginner’s luck not needed.”



Golf - If you’re not into fishing, take 18 holes of golf one step further in Heber Valley. Golf enthusiasts come to experience five award-winning golf courses in the area that offer a variety of terrain and difficulties including a unique round of golf on the mountainside. Take the weekend and see if you can complete a total of 90 holes.



Homestead Crater & Resort - Soak, swim and scuba dive in the constant 96-degree water of the Homestead Crater, any time of year, to relax your muscles from a day of adventure. This unique mineral spring located inside a beehive-shaped dome of limestone is unlike any other experience you can find in the state. Where else can you become scuba-certified in a land-locked state? Stay at the Homestead Resort when visiting Heber Valley with guest rooms, suites and condos. The resort is right in the middle of the beautiful scenic sight of Midway.

Ice Castles in Midway - Also located at the Homestead Resort, the Midway Ice Castles are built each winter using hundreds of thousands of icicles, hand-placed by professional ice artists. The castles are illuminated with breathtaking LED lights. The castles will amaze visitors of all ages as they walk through ice-carved tunnels, slide down iced slides, sit on ice thrones and more.



Jordanelle Rentals and Marina in Jordanelle State Park - The summer is a hopping time in Heber Valley. To beat the heat, Jordanelle State Park has a marina with rentals that can give you the outdoor adventure that will make all your friends back home jealous. Boat rentals, kayaking, paddle boarding and the Aqua X Zone, are just a few activities to enjoy on the lake.



Kohler Creamery Dairy Farm - Learn what a day on the farm is like at the Kohler Dairy Farm. Daily tours are offered as well as a store with award-winning cheese, ranked among national champions. Other unique events at the farm include mozzarella-making classes and cheese tastings.



Lola’s Street Kitchen - With so many adventures packed into one day, it’s important to keep your energy up with proper nutrition. Lola’s Street Kitchen offers artisan-style street food made from scratch. With a menu that is constantly changing, you’ll love all the locally made recipes you can try each time you’re in town.



Midway Ice Skating Rink - Every year, the local town of Midway turns their Town Square into an outdoor ice skating rink! Nothing is more perfect for a night around town, experiencing the relaxation and unique experience of gliding across the ice in the magical twinkling lights of Heber Valley.



Nordic Center at Soldier Hollow -

The Soldier Hollow Nordic Center not only offers more than 20 miles of Nordic ski and snowshoe trails through the trees and hills, but also the longest tubing lanes in Utah. The tubing hill has 1,200-foot lanes to slide down with lift service for towing tubers up the hill. It’s the perfect family activity that will make your kids beg for more!



Off-roading: (ATVs and Snowmobiling) -

Go off-roading on scenic mountain trails via a single-rider ATV or a spacious side-by-side that fits a whole family. Drive up to panoramic views of Heber Valley’s reservoirs, hopefully spotting deer, elk or even a moose along the way. More than 10,000 acres are open to motorized exploration, and you can cover ground fast to see the sights in a few hours.



Provo Canyon Scenic Byway - The iconic fall adventure is a scenic drive through the colorful red, orange and yellow leaves. Will you be able to spot the occasional mountain goat on the high cliffs? This relaxing and peaceful drive is the perfect photo spot as you overlook Bridal Veil Falls.



Equestrian adventures - Sometimes it’s nice to get out of the car after a long drive and experience the wind in your hair on an equestrian adventure. With multiple horse guides and outfitters, your whole family can have a unique experience that they will remember as well as an unparalleled tour of the area you can’t get anywhere else.



Ride the Heber Valley Railroad - The magic of Heber Valley continues with another iconic part of the town — the Heber Valley Railroad. Nicknamed the “Heber Creeper,” this train offers scenic rides through the canyon and themed rides for the changing seasons and holidays throughout the year that include the pumpkin train, the North Pole Express, the Easter Bunny, the Wild West and more.



Skiing at Deer Valley - Another way to have the wind whip through your hair is on the slopes in the winter! When skiing in Deer Valley, you have access to 21 chairlifts and over 100 runs throughout 2,000 acres of terrain. The Gondola entrance near Jordanelle gives access to the best snow for skiers. Arrive early, and you can hit the powder before anyone else.



Timpanogos Valley Theater - If the outside weather is too cold, stay inside and see the Timpanogos Valley Theater Company. Founded in 2001, they provide a forum and venue for people to study, compose, play write, rehearse, direct and perform. Perfect for the whole family, this company frequently performs shows at the historic Heber City Social Hall that are open to the public with the purchase of a ticket.



Uinta Recreation - Uinta Recreation is one of the guides and outfitters in Heber Valley offering off-roading rentals and guided tours. With a goal to provide guests with the highest level of service, exceptional equipment and great value, you know you’re in good hands for your ATV or snowmobile adventure.

Visitor Center - If you’re not sure where to start your adventure, come to the visitor’s center in the heart of Heber City (at 475 North Main). The Heber Valley Visitor Center can answer questions, provide directions and help plan your vacation. Travel guides and more are available to help you create the best experience for your group.



Aqua X Zone - Located at Jordanelle State Park, the Aqua X Zone is a water park that floats on the reservoir. Open to all swimmers six and up, it’s a great way to have fun in the summer sun. Kids and adults alike will love bouncing on the giant balloon obstacles as they float on top of the water’s surface. If you get pushed off into the water? Well, that’s fun too.



Yoga with Goats (Goga) - There’s nothing like some sun salutation to break in the day, but have you tried the cat and cow poses with goats on your back? Yes, you read that right. At certain times of the year, Utah Goga Guys will host goga classes at the Zermatt Resort in Midway. Enjoy 40 minutes of well-instructed yoga while baby goats hop around. Don’t worry, you’ll also have 20 minutes of playtime and photo time with the goats before it’s time to go home.



Zipline Utah - Adventure seekers will love the thrill and excitement of flying through the air on the longest zip line over water in the world, extending 3,900 feet. See the beautiful scenic views of Heber Valley from the sky as you ride the longest continuous zip line in the world, as you complete a two-mile loop without touching the ground.
