Discover why Biathlon is the most popular winter sport in Europe! As an “aspiring Olympian,” participants are coached by our professional staff as they learn to shoot with precision .22 Caliber Anschutz rifles that are similar to equipment used during the modern Olympic Games. We provide options for a 45min shared Discover Biathlon public experience, a private 75min Silver Biathlon Experience, or a private 120min Gold Biathlon Experience. All experiences are designed for participants 10 years old and up and can accommodate group sizes up to 8 people.
Participants get a taste of one of the most exciting winter Olympic sports alongside other enthusiasts in a 45 minute session. Our instructors will meet you on the 2002 Olympic Biathlon range to provide an overview of the sport and a safety briefing. From there you’ll learn how to handle the .22 Caliber Anschutz rifles and then will be coached on fundamentals of solid biathlon competition shooting. Each participant will have the chance to take 15 shots and will be challenged to hit 5 targets in a row!
This private experience puts you on the firing line with up to 7 of your closest friends or family. After a safety briefing, instructional range orientation, and time for practice, participants have the option to engage in a mini fun competition set up for the group. During the winter you will either ski or snowshoe and in the summer the experience is conducted on foot. If you elect to stage a short competition, the biathlon course will raise heart rates and give participants a sense of authentic biathlon competition. Participants are challenged to hit all five targets and will come away with a new appreciation for Olympic Biathlon!
Session Cost: $ 125.00 per person/75 minutes 8 – 10 people
This private experience for up to 8 people piles on even more fun and shooting. We engage in the same general program as the Silver Biathlon Experience but have the opportunity to shoot more and take full advantage of time spent on the Olympic Biathlon Range. Schedule an experience with up to 7 of your closest friends or family and get intimately acquainted with the thrills and challenges of one of the toughest sports ever devised. You’ll learn about the long, storied history of biathlon from cavemen to elite special ops forces to Olympians. After a safety briefing, instructional range orientation, and time for practice, you’ll have the opportunity for a short competition set up for the group, whether individually or as a relay. During the winter you will either ski or snowshoe and in the summer come out equipped with your best footwear. If you elect to have a competition you will learn just how hard it can be to hit Oreo cookie sized targets with your chest heaving and heart racing. No matter your fitness level or experience with shooting sports, participants will come away with a new appreciation for Olympic Biathlon and the amazing athletes who train and race on the Soldier Hollow trails!
Session Cost: $ 195.00 per person/120 minutes 8 – 10 people
