Heber Light and Power provides electricity to all residents in the Heber Valley. If you are ready to switch on the electricity to your new residence, click here.

Heber City Water, Sewer, and Irrigation
Contact Heber City Public Works to switch on your residential water, sewer, and irrigation services. Follow this link for Public Works announcements and more information about irrigation services. Heber City also includes a letter from the Mayor with your monthly bill and usage that shares upcoming events, initiatives, and public hearings.

Contact Wasatch County Solid Waste to set up garbage pick-up for your new residence. Refer back to the Solid Waste website for instructions on solid waste dos and don'ts, weekly garbage collection schedule, and holiday garbage collection schedule information.
Recycling is encouraged but not required in Heber Valley. There are two service providers in the area that will pick up recycling from your residents. Follow the links to learn more:

The Park City Recycling Center accepts a wide variety of items. You must sort and drop off at this location. A complete list of the 45+ items accepted is available on the website.

Whether new residents need to register to vote, update voter registration, or simply update the address for a mail-in ballot — Utah’s voter registration site will point you in the right direction.
*In order to register to vote online, you will need to update your driver's license at least 24 hours beforehand.
Update Your Vehicle Registration
In addition to an updated driver's license, a new resident must update vehicle license plates and registration information. Access the Wasatch County DMV office address and hours here.
All dogs in Wasatch County are required to have a license. Register your dog online at the Wasatch Animal Services page. Or learn what to bring with you to the city treasurer’s office to register your pet in person.
Local Property Tax Information
If you are a new resident, building or purchasing a new home in Wasatch County, visit the Wasatch County Administration building to find out if you qualify for the Primary Residential Tax Exemption.

High Valley Transit offers many transportation services to and from Heber City to various drop-off locations in Park City. Residents may also use the micro-transit services designed to help Heber Valley’s residents move around the county.

Wasatch County School District: Parents and guardians of school-aged children need to register students with the Wasatch County Public School District. To easily find your student’s school and register for classes, click here.
Soldier Hollow Charter School: This free public charter school is for K-8. The student-centered learning environment helps foster close relationships between students and teachers.
My Tech High: Provides home-based personalized learning options for Utah K-12 students that are tuition-free: reimbursements for educational costs such as books, courses, computers, etc.
Waterford UPSTART: Provides four-year-old children in Utah access to the highest form of academic support in their early education at no cost to participants: personalized family education and coaching, a new computer and Internet if needed, and adaptive educational software.
