How long has your business been operating?

Park City Television has been around for close to 30 years but has been under new ownership with Deerfield Media since July 2017.

What do you do and how do you specialize in that area? What makes your business unique?

Our business is unique because we are able to draw different communities together through our local content.

People like to know the story behind how your business got started. What is the story on how and why you started your business?

Deerfield Media has been in business since 2012. We own 10 television stations across the country. Our true passion is rooted in community television. When Park City Television became available for purchase, it was a natural fit for us. We're excited to be serving this community, generating local content about the people, businesses and destinations that make this area so unique.

Are you new to the Heber Valley (in the past 2 years)? If yes, where did you come from previously and what were you doing there? If no, how long have you been here and what do you enjoy about living here?

We moved our Corporate office from Columbus, Ohio to Park City just a few months ago. I personally moved to Heber Valley in October 2017. I love the small town feel that is filled with a quiet community pride.

What are the benefits of being a part of the Heber Valley Chamber of Commerce?

Park City Television has long been thought of as a Park City only station. It's important to me that we change that perception, as we are here to serve the community at large.

Why did you decide to become a member of the chamber?

I decided to join the Chamber in order to expand the reach of the station and to support the community I am calling home.

What do you hope to contribute to the Chamber?

Park City Television has contributed to the Chamber by filming regular segments in Heber Valley in connection with the Chamber, allowing local businesses to get their story out to the community and the valley at large.

Who are your clients/customers? Who do you serve?

As a television station, we are here to serve the people in our viewing area daily by bringing them important information about the community they live in. Our customers are businesses from all over the area who partner with us to help them get their marketing message out.

Share a few sentences about your family and your hobbies outside of work?

My family is excited to be here. I have two boys. As we are relatively new to the area, we are still exploring everything there is to see and do. My youngest son is enjoying his first season on the Wasatch Parks and Recreation baseball team.

What are some of your greatest accomplishments in your professional and personal life?

Personally, my greatest accomplishment is my children, hands down. Professionally, I am proud of the changes we have made to Park City Television is less than one year. We've expanded the footprint of the station, airing 4 hours of programming a week on KJZZ in Salt Lake City. We've expanded the programming offers and doubled the staff size. People tell me every day how pleased they are to see our cameras out in the community and I'm proud that we are delivering residents the stories, news and events they want to see each and every day.

What has been your favorite Heber Valley activity?

Heber Valley is a mecca of new business, all with their own individual story. My favorite activity is to get out and meet the people who are shaping the future of this community.

What drives you to do what you do for a living?

I love the television industry. Our motto is, If's it's important to you, it's important to park City television, and we take that very seriously.
