The annual Lynden Legacy Turkey Trot takes place in Midway, Utah on Thanksgiving morning. This year, wobble before you gobble! Earn that extra slice of pie and give back to a great local cause. Tree Lighting Celebrations
Midway Tree Lighting – Saturday, Nov. 26th
You are sure to feel merry and bright at the annual Tree Lighting Celebration at Midway Town Square on Saturday, November 26th. Festivities kick off at 6 pm and include holiday entertainment, hot cocoa, local Suss cookies, live reindeer, Santa and Mrs. Claus with photo opps, old-fashioned candy and peanut bags, tree lighting ceremony, and fireworks to finish it off. Heber City Old Fashioned Christmas – Friday, Dec. 2nd
Celebrate the season at this annual Heber City Old Fashioned Christmas event on Friday, December 2nd. Free family-friendly activities include holiday music, hot cocoa, cookie decorating, caroling, food trucks, Santa Claus and his reindeer, and the lighting of the tree. The fun starts at 6:00 pm. The annual tree lighting event at Homestead Resort will be from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Saturday, December 3rd. The lighting of the tree will take place at 6:00 pm. The lighting event includes a special appearance by Santa! Bring your whole family and enjoy the lights, bonfires, and free hot cocoa at the new Milk House.
Cottages for the Children – Dec. 2nd thru 3rd

Midway Community Festival of Crèches – Dec. 2-5, 9-11, 16-18, 23
Walk through Midway Town Hall and admire the elaborate nativity displays. The 1,000+ crèches displayed are on loan courtesy of neighbors and friends in the local community. And these displays are pretty astounding. This year’s theme is “Love’s Pure Light!” Admission is free for all dates and both locations.

Live Nativity Christmas Celebration – Wednesday, Dec. 14th at 6:00 & 7:30 pm
Presented by MIRO Industries and Rooftop Anchors, this display brings the simplicity of the Christmas holiday into focus as the nativity is presented. Plan for the 10th annual Live Nativity Christmas Celebration at the Wasatch County Events Center on Wednesday, December 14th. Live performances start at 6:00 pm and again at 7:30 pm for three amazing and moving displays that include script and music. Surrounded by live animals and a manger, the story of the birth of Jesus is played out by volunteers. Angels join in as the story unfolds in front of your eyes. There will be a food drive at the entrance so please bring non-perishable food for donation if you are able. All seating is on a first-come basis. Tickets not required. This event is free to all! It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play – Dec. 9th thru 22nd
This fantastic community theatre performance happens on stage and is performed as if a live radio performance set in 1945. Actual audience members are encouraged to participate when the “Applause” sign is lit. A foley table on stage shows the sound effects happening. Actors are in era-appropriate costume and hair. And even fun, local commercial spots with era-style jingles from area businesses are interspersed. This feel-good performance is a great reminder of how wonderful life really is. Miracle on 34th Street Musical – Dec. 10th thru 22nd
This heart-felt musical is an adaption of the favorite holiday movie about a kindly, white-bearded gentleman who claims to be the real Santa Claus. He brings a genuine miracle by spreading a wave of love throughout New York City and convinces the entire State of New York that Santa Claus is no myth. North Pole Express After Christmas Trains – Dec. 26th – 29th
With the ever-popular North Pole Express Trains selling out so early in the season, there’s usually room to get seats on the slightly more comical “After Christmas Train.” So hop on for a fun-filled journey to the North Pole to find Santa. This 90-minute round trip to the North Pole includes hot cocoa and Mrs. Claus' famous chocolate chip cookies. You can sing along to new and traditional Christmas tunes and be entertained by musicians, elves, and cocoa chefs. When you reach the North Pole, you will see Santa in full vacation mode.
