A Summer Full Of Events In Heber Valley

We’re ready to kickoff summer in a big way! With open air markets, outdoor concerts, baseball tournaments, car shows, art festivals, theatre performances, road, mountain, and biking races, fireworks, rodeos, and one of the biggest demolition derbies in the state. MUSIC, MARKETS & FESTIVALS

Heber Market on Main  

June 1 - 17, Thursday evenings, 5:00 – 9:00 PM @ Heber City Main Street Park, 250 South Main Street, Heber City, UT 84032

Join the local community each week for food, music, and fun at the Heber City Main Street Park. Bring your family and friends, get dinner from one of the many food trucks, peruse the local artisan booths, bring a chair or blanket, and enjoy the free outdoor concert on the lawn that starts at 6:30 pm. Happening every Thursday from 5 to 9 pm at Heber City Main Street Park and runs for 12 consecutive weeks from June 1st through August 17th.

Live Music @ Black Rock Mountain Resort

Friday & Saturday evenings, 6:30 – 9:30 PM @ Black Rock Mountain Resort, 909 West Peace Tree Trail, Heber City, UT 84032

Local and live music is playing Friday and Saturday nights at the posh On The Rocks Bar inside this beautiful property. Sip a specialty cocktail or enjoy dinner while enjoying the musical talents of local artists. 

And if looking for a local pub vibe, head to Melvin's Public House on Friday nights for live music from 7:30 to 10:30 pm.

RW Erickson Antique Power Show

Friday, June 23 – Sunday, June 25, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM @ RW Erickson, 50 Starks Lane, Midway, UT 84082

Visit this Antique Power Museum with the best display of vintage vehicles and engines in Utah. Explore the pioneer village, visit the blacksmith, take a train ride, and watch the live demonstrations. These interactive demos show how people lived in this area in the past.

This annual car show is an all-day event with plenty to see and do. Activities include music, games, and awards for the cars.

Plein Air Art Festival

Friday, June 30 - Tuesday, July 4 @ Midway Town Hall, 120 West Main Street, Midway, UT 84049

Back for another year of stunning artwork created from the natural landscapes that surround, head over to Midway Town Hall to see the beautiful art pieces and talk with the artists. This event is always well attended.

Inaugural RED, WHITE & BLUE FESTIVAL

Tuesday, July 4, 7:00 AM - 10:30 PM @ Heber City Main Street Park, 250 South Main Street, Heber City, UT 84032

Join us for a daylong celebration of independence, family, and country on Tuesday, July 4th, 2023. Festivities kick off early Tuesday morning with a scenic 10K and 5K (register today), followed by a Patriotic Walk, breakfast, and flag ceremony. The day is chock full of fun and festivities, so come on out and celebrate in a big way at this small-town event that concludes with an impressive fireworks show overhead. Wasatch County Fair

Monday, July 31 – Saturday, August 5, various times & locations

Utah’s best small-town fair happens the first week of August each year and runs for a full week. Special events and activities take place each day and throughout the valley. Many events are free. Check out the FULL SCHEDULE HERE and plan to participate each day of this full week of fun.

Swiss Days Festival

Friday, September 1 - Saturday, September 2, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM @ Midway Town Square, 100 North Main Street, Midway, UT 84049

The annual Swiss Days event takes place the Friday and Saturday before Labor Day each year and draws a huge crowd both days. Local and national vendors work tediously, crafting and creating their wares to display and sale. Swiss Days includes a 10k race, a HUGE outdoor craft fair, a parade, live entertainment, and so much more. (Tips on how to enjoy your experience.)

Witness the best in the west as competitors of all ages and abilities (from Junior High and High School to professional and globally-ranked) lay it all out here in Heber Valley at a chance to place in the top and among the best. All rodeo events are held at the Wasatch County Events Center and outdoor rodeo grounds.

Demolition Derby

Friday, July 28 – Saturday, July 29, 7:00 – 10:00 PM

Wasatch County Rodeo Grounds, 415 Southfield Road, Heber City, UT 84032

Enjoy two nights of back-to-back action with metal-on-metal, the smell of dirt and exhaust permeating the open air, and plenty of excitement. The annual demolition derby is the largest in the state and sells out in advance every year. (Tickets on sale June 1st.)

SCENIC RACES & COMPETITIONS

Wasatch 50

Friday, June 11, 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM @ UVU-Wasatch Campus, 3111 College Way, Heber City, UT 84032

A truly epic route through some of Utah’s beautiful high country, this 21-mile loop features roughly 1,700 feet of climbing per lap and tackles almost the entirety of the Coyote Loop Trail System starting and finishing at Utah Valley University – Wasatch Campus. Come ride this challenging course, or cheer on the brave athletes for an awesome day of singletrack racing.

Valkyrie Relay Race

Saturday, June 17, 5:00 AM – 8:00 PM @ Soldier Hollow Nordic Center, 2002 Soldier Hollow Lane, Midway, UT 84049

As Utah’s only multisport relay race and spanning nearly 100 miles of Utah’s spectacular Wasatch Back Mountain range, this event pits teams of up to 9 specialized competitors against each other, racing against the clock, and exchanging between trail running, kayak/canoe paddling, marathon running, mountain biking, stand up paddle boarding, open water swimming, and road cycling. Race day consists of four events with everything culminating with an outdoor expo at the finish line.

Disc Golf Tournaments

June 24 - 25 & September 2 - 3 @ The Wasatch Wunder Disc Golf Course, 975 Golf Course Drive, Midway, UT 84049

Playing on the newly enhanced course at Wasatch Mountain State Park, there are several disc golf tournaments coming up this summer. Join the fun and hone your skills at this mountainous course.

Jordanelle Triathlon

Saturday, June 24, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM @ Rock Cliff Area at Jordanelle State Park, State Route 319, Francis, UT 84036

This event is taking place on Saturday, June 24th with a 7:00 AM start time at the Rock Cliff area of Jordanelle Reservoir.

Heber Half – Run for Autism

Friday, June 25, 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM @ Old Mill Elementary School, 1600 East 980 South, Heber City, Utah 84032

Enjoy this all-downhill course in scenic Heber Valley, and support children with autism across the state of Utah. The race course is beautiful and well supported. This race is always a popular event in Heber Valley. Proceeds benefit Utah Autism Centers.

Main-to-Main 10K & Fun Run

Kicking off the first annual Red, White & Blue Festival the scenic 10K and 5K races are well supported and meander through the heart of Heber Valley. Register today; cost increases June 1st!

Wasatch All-Road Bicycle Race

Saturday, September 16, 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM @ Soldier Hollow Nordic Center, 2002 Soldier Hollow Lane, Midway, UT 84049

Experience Utah’s newest gravel race. Not for the faint of legs, this course features gravel’s hardest climb: The Wasatch Wall. To ease your pain, it offers 3 routes, great food, libations, and a generous prize purse. You might even spot the Yeti.
