During the five years that I’ve worked in Heber Valley, I’ve provided hundreds of referrals as to where people should visit within the Heber Valley area. From one-day visits to week-long retreats, I’ve been able to talk the tourism talk quite well. This fall, however, I was able to gain first-hand experience in truly experiencing the majesty of the Heber Valley.

Heber Valley has many jewels that make this place special. One particularly impressive jewel is the Utah Wing of the Commemorative Air Force at Russ McDonald Airfield. The Mission of the CAF is to preserve and honor the legacy of the men and women of the armed forces in World War II.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a local or a visitor to Heber Valley, the Dutch Hollow Trail system of Wasatch Mountain State Park is definitely worth your time. If you’re new to the sport of mountain biking you really need to give the Heber Valley Overlook trail a try. The trailhead for this ride starts right from the parking lot making it easy to find.

The Soldier Hollow Classic: A Homegrown Success

In a little over eight weeks Border Collies, sheep herders, and spectators from around the globe will converge on the Heber Valley for the 14 annual Soldier Hollow Sheep Dog Classic.
