We had the pleasure of sitting down with Arthur Gonzales, Executive Chef of The Hub. Arthur’s journey began in San Francisco, California, where he honed his skills at a prestigious culinary school before embarking on his illustrious career. He has worked at several notable dining establishments, including Michelin-star restaurants and high-end hotels. Most recently, Arthur made his way to Heber Valley from the Seattle, Washington area, bringing his passion and expertise to The Hub Restaurant.

Arthur’s move to Heber Valley was serendipitous. When Mo and Devin, owners of The Hub Restaurant, purchased and reopened the establishment, they sought out Arthur, reconnecting through a family friendship. Arthur joined the team to help reimagine The Hub, creating a menu and atmosphere that reflect both his culinary prowess and the family-friendly vibe the restaurant is known for. As Arthur puts it, “We just want to serve good food here.”

Since its re-opening in 2023, The Hub Restaurant has become an even bigger cornerstone of the Heber Valley dining scene, offering an expansive menu of American cuisine with breakfast, lunch, and dinner options served up seven days a week. Under Arthur’s guidance, many of the menu items are made from scratch, showcasing the team’s pride in their curated offerings. From the ever-popular country-fried steak to innovative menu specials, Arthur ensures that each dish is crafted with care and creativity.

Beyond the exceptional food, The Hub Restaurant is a place of connection. Mo and Devin foster a loving atmosphere among their staff, treating everyone like family. This supportive environment resonates with Arthur, who speaks highly of the team’s camaraderie and shared commitment to excellence.

Though he’s passionate about every dish he creates, Arthur admits a special fondness for crafting Beef Wellington. While it’s not a regular menu item, his inventive specials allow him to explore his culinary creativity and share his love for cooking with guests.
