January 2021 Business of the Month: Ace Rescue Computer Solutions
Nothing is more frustrating, or frightening then a computer issue you don’t know how to resolve, especially when you don’t have your techy nephew’s phone number programed into your speed dial. Aaron Cheatwood, at Ace Rescue Computer Solutions, knows this situation can be very upsetting whether it is in a business setting or for personal use. That’s why he has built his business around providing his customers with clear solutions and preventative maintenance options to help provide peace of mind when it comes to technology.
“I love what I do because sometimes the problem isn’t readily apparent. I love to dig into it to find the problem and it makes me excited to find the solution,” said Cheatwood.
Fixing things and exploring how things work has always been in his nature. As a young boy when his family got their first computer, he learned how to improve its performance. Then one day when he broke it, he had to learn quickly how to repair it. From this experience he learned home much he enjoyed technology.
After extensive training at Brigham Young University and many years of experience Cheatwood decided to open his own business, because unlike like what people stereotype as IT people, he really likes being around people and helping them.
“I want to have a conversation with my customers. I want to help them feel heard, rather than just a transactional interaction,” said Cheatwood.
Ace Rescue Computer Solutions is a different type of computer repair business. Sure, he has solutions to help businesses keep its data safe, and all its systems talking to each other. And sure, he can help anyone find or recover data from old or broken machines. But what sets Ace Rescue apart from others, and one of the reasons he was chosen as the business of the month, is his desire to only provide solutions that will help is customers instead of trying to push a product.
“I don’t charge for diagnostics. Never have, probably never will… It gives people a chance to feel good about the answer they’re getting, which people have really liked over the years,” said Cheatwood.
Another service he provides is a great upcycling program. He’ll take old computers or laptops from individuals, help them get their information off of them, and if they still have some usable life on them, keep a few for people who are in extreme need. During this past year, for example, when kids had to go online for school there were some families who couldn’t afford to get a new computer. Because he had some of these computers and some that were have donated, he was able to help those families at no cost.
For these reasons and more, the Heber Valley Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize Aaron Cheatwood at Ace Rescue Computer solutions as the January 2021 Business of the Month for the good work he does for his clients and his efforts to give back to the community.
