July 2026 Director's Letter

Few things demonstrate the strength of Heber Valley quite like our annual July 4th Red, White, and Blue Festival. This year's celebration was a remarkable reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with a shared purpose. On behalf of the Chamber, I want to express my sincere gratitude to the countless volunteers, nonprofit organizations, city staff, public safety personnel, sponsors, and community partners who dedicated their time and talents to making the celebration possible.

The numbers tell an impressive story. More than 4,000 people attended the American Soldier concert on July 3rd. On Independence Day, a record-setting 600 runners participated in the Main-to-Main 5K and 10K races, while more than 6,500 people gathered in the park to celebrate with family and friends. The day concluded with an unforgettable performance by the Utah Symphony in Midway, drawing more than 3,000 guests to Midway Town Square. It was a memorable Fourth of July and another example of what makes Heber Valley such a special place to live, work, and visit.

That same spirit of community carried into our recent Chamber Luncheon where we focused on “Entrepreneurial Hustle,” with special panelists Spencer Coleman from Coleman Legacy Companies, Meike Long from The Pretzel Connection, and Kari Baltz from The Dainty Pear. Each panelist shared his or her story behind building a successful business in Heber Valley. Although each entrepreneur's journey was unique, several common themes emerged: passion for a purpose, trust in the people around them, and a genuine commitment to caring for their employees. Those qualities have helped them build businesses that are resilient, respected, and deeply connected to our community.

Perhaps the greatest takeaway was this: no business owner has to build success alone. One of the greatest strengths of our business community is the willingness of entrepreneurs to share experiences, lessons learned, and encouragement with one another. Whether you're launching a new venture or leading an established company, there is tremendous value in learning from those who have walked a similar path. Together, we strengthen not only our individual businesses but the future of Heber Valley as a whole.
