As we gear up the third annual Red, White, and Blue Festival, I want to pause and recognize something that makes Heber Valley truly special—the way our community supports one another. We really can’t make events like this happen without community support.
The July 4th Red, White, and Blue Festival is growing! This year the event is expanding its offering. In addition to all the races, games, and fun activities at Heber City Main Street Park, this year will include a festive parade in the morning and a concert by multi-platinum country star Joe Nichols at the Wasatch County outdoor rodeo grounds arena that night. All the day's festivities will be capped off with a dazzling fireworks show!
With all the excitement and new activities, we need volunteers to help this event be successful. Volunteers are the quiet engine behind every quality event. In addition to helping serve the community, volunteering has profound benefits. Studies from the Mayo Clinic and Harvard have found that volunteering can reduce stress, improve mood, and even boost longevity for individuals.
For businesses, employees who volunteer show higher engagement, teamwork, and job satisfaction. Volunteerism builds unity, compassion, and connection—qualities every thriving community needs.
This annual event has many great opportunities to serve. From helping with the Main-to-Main 10K and 5K races to assisting with park festivities to ushering and guiding guests at the concert, there is something that is just right for
you. (Check out the full day's schedule here.) To sweeten the deal, volunteers will get TWO tickets to the Joe Nichols concert, a Red, White, and Blue Festival t-shirt, and access to a hospitality tent with food and drinks. All this to say, thank you for your help!
This July 4th, let’s do more than celebrate freedom and our community’s values—let’s live it by showing up for each other. Whether you can give a few hours or a whole day, your time matters. Volunteer sign ups are open now. The deadline to sign up is June 26th. Bring your family, your coworkers, or just yourself. We’d love to have you join the fun! Thank you for being the heart of this valley.
