Happy Spring! As Memorial Day approaches I hope you are gearing up for a fun summer and if you are like us, it’s already been a very eventful spring. In just under a month, we hosted the Ask Heber Valley Community Expo, Wasatch Back Economic Summit, two Business Mixers, and a Chamber Luncheon! It’s been a whirlwind, but also very rewarding.
Just over a week ago the Heber Valley Chamber partnered with the Park City Chamber to host the Wasatch Back Economic Summit at the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley. Attendance set a new record with over 375 attendees. I am personally grateful to the planning committee who put a lot of thought and effort into creating a summit that was informative with actionable ideas for our Wasatch Back businesses. This year we had three breakout tracks that were tailored just for our area: Building Business Resilience, Workforce Development, and Tourism & Product Development.
If you were unable to attend this year, our media partner KPCW recorded all breakout sessions, which are now available online here.
Just around the corner are many more activities and opportunities to participate in Chamber and community events. In the coming weeks, we’ll have the annual Ice Cream Social at the Heber Market on Main, The Red, White, and Blue Festival on July 4th (featuring the Main-to-Main 5K and 10K, and morning parade), and the annual Chamber Golf Tournament in August. All these events are great opportunities to network with other businesses, mix and mingle with the community, and to have a whole lot of fun. More details about these events and ways to participate can be found at gohebervalley.com/Chamber-Events.
