MWR Conference Hotel Groundbreaking

Roughly 200 invited guests, including state, county, and local officials, gathered on location and at the future site of the Mayflower Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Conference Hotel to celebrate the official groundbreaking for the first piece of the Mayflower Mountain Resort. The MWR Conference Hotel hopes to complete construction and open for its first guests in 2023. Once complete, the hotel will offer 60,000 square feet of conference space and 387 guest rooms – 100 of the guest rooms being reserved for military personnel along with 55 private residences. As this is the first new mountain resort to be built in America in the last 40 years, the future economic impact and drive for additional tourism growth will be huge for the surrounding areas.
