Join us for the Employer Workshop on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Division of Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired Conference Room in Salt Lake City. This free event is designed to help employers understand the benefits of accommodating, hiring, and retaining individuals with disabilities. Attendees will be able to network with specialists, gain valuable resources, and participate in a guided tour of the center, including the wood shop.
Key topics will include vocational rehabilitation, employment resources, job posting possibilities, tax credits and incentives, federal bonding, workplace accommodations, and myths about hiring individuals with disabilities. Experts will also provide insights on the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments (ADAAA), specific disability issues, Section 503 federal contracts, and Disability:IN. A Q&A session will allow participants to engage with specialists and address specific concerns.
Registration opens at 8:30 AM, and Disability:IN Utah will provide lunch. There is no cost to attend, but participants must register by March 7. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights and make a difference in inclusive employment!
