The Provo River is one of many blue-ribbon stream locations in Heber Valley, along with Deer Creek Reservoir and Jordanelle Reservoir. The designation is provided by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) and is given to indicate environmentally productive waters that sustain healthy fish populations.
