Celebrate Public Works Week at a Community Celebration.
Monday, May 19: Backhoe Rodeo The Wasatch County Events Complex will host a Backhoe Rodeo from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Public Works operators from across the valley will compete in a friendly skills competition, navigating challenging courses with heavy equipment. This is your chance to see the impressive skill and precision our operators bring to their daily work.
Tuesday, May 20: Geocaching Scavenger Hunt Join the valley-wide scavenger hunt to learn about different Public Works entities - what they do and where they're located. Participants will visit various locations to collect puzzle pieces, with the final destination at Heber City Public Works. The facility will offer tours, and everyone who completes their puzzle will receive prizes. The final destination party runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Wednesday, May 21: Party in the Park/Meet the Machines Bring the family to South Field Park from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for a family-friendly celebration with food, music, and activities. Wasatch County Public Works will have an interactive booth with information about our noxious weed program and upcoming road projects. We'll also display some of our heavy equipment, giving residents an up-close look at the machines that build and maintain our infrastructure.
