A rustic campground is located on the shore of Mill Hollow Reservoir or several undeveloped campsites can be found in the area for overnight stays. The route follows Forest Road #054 approximately 3 miles to a junction with Forest Road #096 on the right. Follow Forest Road #096 1.5 miles to Forest Road #055 which branches left and uphill. This is the final ascent to the summit of Heber Mountain. After catching your breath on the summit, reverse routes on #055 and #096. For a short out-and-back ride, return on #054 to the reservoir. To undertake the longer loop, turn left on Forest Road #052 into Campbell Hollow for a 2-mile downhill to the junction with Forest Road #122. Branch right on #122 to intersect with Mill Hollow Road below the reservoir. Turn right for the one-mile uphill return to the parking area at the reservoir. The entire route is open to motor vehicles and the Mill Hollow Road receives significant traffic on weekends.
