Midway, Utah (July 31, 2025) – The Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation and Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) , and Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) are proud to announce Soldier Hollow Nordic Center will host a WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series event in 2026.
Now in its fourth season, the reimagined UCI World Cups format—introduced in 2023 to bring nearly all major mountain biking disciplines under one unified brand—kicks off with a historic weekend in PyeongChang, South Korea. This milestone event marks the first-ever Asian rounds of the UCI Cross-country Olympic (XCO) and Cross-country Short Track (XCC) World Cups, as well as the first UCI Downhill (DHI) World Cup held on the continent in 25 years.
Soldier Hollow in Midway, Utah (USA) will host XCC and XCO races as part of the North American stop on the 2026 series. Fresh off hosting the 2024 Pan American Mountain Bike Championships, Soldier Hollow has proven its credentials in the sport. Known for its rich winter sports history, Soldier Hollow is also set to feature in the Olympic Winter Games Salt Lake City-Utah 2034. Its addition to the calendar adds another world-class destination with a strong legacy of elite competition.
The dates for the UCI World Cup events set to be held at new venues in South Korea and USA will be announced as part of the full 2026 WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series calendar in the coming weeks
