DEER VALLEY RESORT; PARK CITY, UTAH (Dec. 8, 2025) – Deer Valley Resort welcomes its newest resident to the mountain, Eddie, the moose, to celebrate the 25/26 ski season. Along with Eddie’s arrival, the resort unveils "Meeting of the Mascots: An Adventure Story & Coloring Book", created in partnership with the Arts Council Park City & Summit County, as well as a new Kids’ Adventure Map. To close out Kids Ski Free Week, guests are invited to a family-friendly meet-and-greet gathering and book signing at the Snow Park base area on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
“We welcome families and skiers of all ages to join us for a special event starring Deer Valley ’s new mascot, Eddie,” said Director of Marketing, Carly Driscoll. “Guests will have the chance to meet Eddie and the artist of the new book and enjoy refreshments and activities for the whole family.”
A warm welcome for Eddie will be hosted at the Snow Park base area from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025. Kids can indulge in cotton candy and light snacks, snap a pic at the photo booth, pick up a new Kids’ Adventure Map, visit the Retail Pop-Up Shop to purchase "Meeting of the Mascots: An Adventure Story & Coloring Book" and an Eddie plushy, and meet the book’s artist, Ashley Moore, for an official book signing. Eddie and all the Deer Valley mascots will also be on-site for photo ops, hugs, and high-fives to celebrate winter’s arrival.
