We’re ready to kickoff summer in a big way! We’ve got open air markets, outdoor concerts, baseball tournaments, art festivals, theater performances, running and biking competitions, car shows, fireworks, rodeos, and one of the biggest demolition derbies in the state. JUNE
Heber Market on Main 
Join the local community each week for food, music, and fun at the Heber City Park. Bring your family and friends, get dinner from one of the many food trucks, peruse the local artisan booths, bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the free outdoor concert on the lawn that starts at 6:30 pm. This well-attended weekly Market on Main happens every Thursday night from 5 to 9 pm at Heber City Main Street Park and runs for 12 consecutive weeks from June 2nd through August 18th.

Live Music @ Melvin’s Pub
Stop by the local pub on Friday nights for live local music talents. Enjoy the delicious bar food, including burgers, salads, and wings. Sip a local beer on tap or order from the full bar of options. Sit indoors or on the outdoor patio and take in the great tunes.

Rodeo Finals
Cheer on the elite high school athletes and competitors at the annual Utah High School Rodeo Finals happening June 6th through 11th right here in Heber Valley at the Wasatch County Events Center. Students from across the state gather to compete in barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, breakaway roping, cow cutting, bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, tie down roping, steer wrestling, team roping, and high school rifle and trap shooting.

Jordanelle Triathlon – this event is taking place on Saturday, June 11th with a 7:00 AM start time at the Rock Cliff area of Jordanelle Reservoir.

Wasatch 50 – this course is a truly epic route through some of Utah’s beautiful high country. The 21-mile loop features roughly 1,700 feet of climbing per lap and tackles almost the entirety of the Coyote Loop Trail System starting and finishing at the Utah Valley University – Wasatch Campus. The course features prolonged climbing, the majority of which is on singletrack, switchback trails to the 7,500-foot summit. Come ride this challenging course, or cheer on the brave athletes for an awesome day of singletrack racing.

Main-to-Main 10K & Fun Run – back for its second year, this scenic and well-supported 10K starts at Heber City Main Street Park, meanders through the valley to Midway Main Street, then returns back to Heber Main Street. This evening run will start with a group yoga and stretch session before races get on the course. The finish area will include massages, food trucks, a live DJ and glow stick dance party, and hot air balloon tethered rides. Most activities are free to the public. REGISTER HERE for the 10K race or 1-mile family-friendly fun run. All runners receive a t-shirt and medal. All fun run participants receive a t-shirt as well. Proceeds go to the Community Alliance for Main Street non-profit group to help with downtown Heber Main Street initiatives.

Valkyrie Relay Race – this multiple-event race series takes place throughout Heber Valley and goes all day long. As Utah’s only multisport relay race and spanning nearly 100 miles of Utah’s spectacular Wasatch Back Mountain range, this event pits teams of up to 9 specialized competitors against each other, racing against the clock, and exchanging between trail running, kayak/canoe paddling, marathon, mountain biking, stand up paddle boarding, open water swimming, and road cycling. Race day consists of four events with everything culminating with an outdoor expo at the finish line.

Heber Half – Run for Autism – enjoy this all-downhill course in scenic Heber Valley, and support children with autism across the state of Utah. The race course is beautiful and well supported. This race is always a popular event in Heber Valley. Proceeds benefit Utah Autism Centers.

In conjunction with the Main-to-Main 10K race and fun run, this three-day event runs from June 16th through June 18th and offers lots of fun, community activities to join and kickoff Father’s Day weekend. Beginning Thursday evening with the Market on Main, come enjoy the free live music, peruse the local vendor booths, and try one of the amazing food trucks. Race packet pickup will also be available this night. Friday has a children’s market, sunset ATV ride, additional vendor booths, yoga, races, hot air balloon rides, and a live DJ and glow stick dance party. RW Erickson Antique Power Show
The Richard W. Erickson Foundation is an Antique Power Museum with the best display of vintage vehicles and engines in Utah. Plan your visit around one of the few upcoming music festivals or events. Explore the pioneer village, visit the blacksmith, take a train ride, and watch the live demonstrations. These interactive demos show how people lived in this area in the past.

Back to the 50s Car Show
This event will be held at the Heber City Main Street Park. Car registration begins at 8:00 am and is open to all makes and model vehicles, including trucks and bikes. It is an all-day event with plenty to see and do. Activities include music, games, and awards for the cars. The car show starts at 9:00 am and runs until 3:00 pm. Stop and talk to the collectors and owners of these beautiful vehicles. The show is FREE to spectators.

JULY
Sound of Music
Catch this live performance by the talented group at High Valley Arts. Sit under the stars at the outdoor amphitheater as you listen to the musings of the famous Von Trapp Family and enjoy some of the world’s best-known musical numbers. Arrive early for the live pre-show as you settle into your seat. And be sure to bring your own lawn chair (or rent one onsite), pack some food and drinks, and bring a jacket or blanket as the performances run from evening into the night. Get tickets in advance!

Wasatch Wipeout Demolition Derby
YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS! Enjoy two nights of back-to-back action with metal on metal, the smell of dirt and exhaust permeating the open air, and plenty of excitement. The annual demolition derby is the largest in the state and sells out in advance every year. (Tickets are on sale now!)

Wasatch County Fair Days 
Utah’s best small-town fair days happens the first week of August each year and runs for a full week! Special events and activities take place each day and throughout the valley. Many events are free to explore or experience. Some require tickets. Check out the FULL SCHEDULE HERE and plan to participate each day of this full week of fun.

Mountain Valley Stampede Rodeo
One of the best PRCA rodeos in the state, this three-night event sells out every year! Come watch the best cowboys and cowgirls from the Intermountain West, including mutton bustin’ and a stick horse race for the youngsters. Enjoy sky divers, nightly fireworks, and specialty entertainment as well as action-packed rodeo competition.

Scenic August Races 
Wasatch All-Road Bicycle Race – Northern Utah is known for its huge mountains and high elevation. The Wasatch All-Road takes its inspiration from the terrain. Ventum Bikes is proud to host the Wasatch All-Road in Heber City, Utah. Experience Utah’s newest gravel race. Not for the faint of legs, this course features gravel’s hardest climb: The Wasatch Wall. To ease your pain, it offers 3 routes, great food, libations, and a $10,000 prize purse. You might even spot the Yeti.
