Nature Impression Sculptures with Utah Museum of Fine Arts
Saturday, July 5 | 11 am–1 pm | Free with admission to Wasatch Mountain State Park. At the Wasatch Mountain, Visitor Center, 1281 Warm Springs Rd, Midway, UT 84049. Take a day trip and join the Utah Museum of Fine Arts at Wasatch Mountain State Park! Experience Utah's amazing wilderness and create your own nature impression sculptures. You can rarely touch the art in the Museum, but out in the wild, art can be more hands-on. At this UMFA in the Wild, we'll be experiencing art and nature through texture. Wasatch Mountain State Park is home to a plethora of textures to be inspired by. Feel the leaves from quaking aspen trees, the prickly needles of an Engelmann spruce, and the soft petals of an oxeye daisy. Gather these natural materials to make impressions in air-dry clay and construct a natural mobile or pendant!
