Wasatch County Park Planning Open House @ Wasatch Rec Center
The county is working on several county parks with the help of consultants and grant funding to cover this type of analysis. The open house is scheduled for May 19, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Wasatch Recreation Center classroom. The county is working on several projects. This open house event will focus on three parks specifically.
The first is initial design concepts for changes to the Veterans Memorial Park on 600 West in Heber City include improved amenities at the park, preserving the existing baseball fields, and significant improvements to parking.
The second is a new regional park that was dedicated to the county, located at roughly 2400 South and 2400 East. This is an over 12-acre park with proposed greenspace, a significant all-abilities playground, and new pickleball and tennis courts.
The third is a concept for a park along 2400 East but just south of Lake Creek Road. This park would be more passive with trails, parking, and pavilions.
