No federal, state or Olympic funds support the legacy programs and facilities at Soldier Hollow. Instead, individuals and dedicated organizations support Soldier Hollow and its purposes, goals and objectives by:
1. Assuring that youth have access to a very affordable and healthy ski program
2. Assuring that no child’s Olympic dreams are denied. If a child shows dedication, commitment and talent, Soldier Hollow assures that child and his/her family that Olympic Hopeful funds will be available to make sure that he or she can represent the United States of America in a future Olympics.
3. Assuring that individuals with disabilities can dream their dream and pursue their goals, whether in training for disabled competitions and the Paralympics, or through the experiences of winter, made possible by the winter recreational opportunities at Soldier Hollow, such as snowshoeing or tubing.
(From the Purposes, Goals and Objectives of the Soldier Hollow Legacy Foundation:
Soldier Hollow interprets the ideals of the Olympics to mean educating youth to their full potential and addressing this potential to create a kinder world for all peoples. Exposing youth to exemplary role models, challenging situations, inspiring coaches and teachers, and opportunities to interact are how we accomplish these.)
