Airport Information

The Salt Lake City Airport is only 45 minutes away from Heber Valley. Not only is Salt Lake City International Airport the major airport of Utah, it's ranked highest among all airports for prompt departures and arrivals and fewest cancellations. The airport is the second largest hub for Delta Airlines. No matter where in the United States (or world) you're coming from, arriving at Salt Lake City International Airport is a breeze. Then, it's just a quick call to one of the local transportation companies and a quick drive to Heber.

For those with access to private planes, Heber City has its own airport, the Heber Valley General Aviation Airport. This is only 2 miles from the center of Heber City, paralleling US Hwy 189. Most planes that land here are small airplanes, rather than jetliners or helicoptors. Sailplanes and gliders also lift off from the Heber Valley Airport. Due to the Valley's high elevation and arid climate, the air's particularly good for gliding.
