Pumpkin Patches & Scarecrows

Check out the “you pick” pumpkin patches located throughout the valley in Heber, Midway, Charleston, and surrounding neighborhoods.

Francis Family Farms is located next to Heber Valley Artisan Cheese and offers a U-Pick Pumpkin Patch and farm stand with fresh fruits and veggies grown onsite. Hours: Monday 10am-8pm, Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm. Location: 905 River Road, Midway, UT 84032.

Ranch Farms pumpkin patch carries over 30 varieties at this family-owned, self-service patch, along with raspberries and sweet corn. Hours: Sun up to sun down. Location: 2715 S Ranch Drive, Heber City, UT 84032.

Killowen Farm is a small family operation with a cute scarecrow and "off the beaten path" in Midway, Utah. Location: Just off the corner of 500 S & Stringtown Rd, Midway, UT 84049

Scarecrow Walk Contest: Check out the locally made scarecrows at Spring Gardens Heber and vote for your favorite. These amazing scarecrows were created by local youth, church groups, businesses, and families. Location: 551 East 1200 South, Heber City, UT 84032

This year, Heber Valley Artisan Milk & Cheese will not be doing its annual hay maze. However, daily farm tours are still being offered Monday through Saturday at 11:00 am (advance ticket purchase required). And the Kohler Creamery onsite is still doing monthly cheese making classes and cheese tasting experiences. The creamery also sells its locally made cheeses, cheese curds, and ice cream. Stop in for a fresh grilled cheese sandwich and cup of soup for lunch, then finish with some good ol’ Aggies Ice Cream for dessert.

Spooky Train Rides

All aboard the Halloween Valley Railroad for lots of festive fun! On the Halloween Train you will be greeted and entertained by the Hocus Pocus Sanderson Sisters as they pass through the train cars mesmerizing riders with song and dance. But beware of the monsters and zombies who quickly find their way on board and roam the train looking for their next victims, only to be distracted when their favorite song comes on and they bust out their signature dance moves. Of course, costumes are highly encouraged, as is dancing and singing along to all of the popular Halloween songs. This train runs every Monday, Thursday, and Friday in October. For the younger kids, there is the beloved Pumpkin Train where riders enjoy kid-friendly entertainment on the train while eating delicious pumpkin cookies. Then pick a pumpkin from the onsite patch to take home with you. This train runs Saturdays through October. Advance tickets highly recommended!

Lee's Marketplace Halloween Trick-or-Treat - October 31st: Stop by the local Lee's Marketplace for some special treats throughout the store. From 2:00 to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, October 31st. For kids 12 and under with an adult present. Location: 890 S Main Street, Heber City, UT 84032

Ghoulish Treats

Our local confectioners have cooked up some delightful treats this Halloween season. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and Cafe offers an array of special holiday treats fun truffle flavors to delectable fudge selections to a broad assortment of decadent caramel apple options. The beloved Dairy Keen serves up a variety of seasonal special shakes, including Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Latte, Pumpkin Cheesecake, Pumpkin Oreo, and Pumpkin Chocolate Chip! Location: 199 S Main Street, Heber City, UT 84032.

And the local coffee shops are serving up just about anything in a pumpkin flavor as well. So stop by any of these wonderful local shops for a sweet treat, ghoulish bite, or savory sip.
