Recently, I heard an analogy of unity I really liked. The author described unity as "togetherness in purpose or objectives" and equated unity to an orchestra - like a variety of instruments all of which play different parts to make up the melody. Unity isn’t sameness; rather it celebrates differences in a way that achieves a common purpose. As I think about the messages from the State of the Valley luncheon and the many different players in our Chamber, we create unity in our common effort to see Heber Valley be the best it can be. The elected officials shared a lot about growth, upcoming projects, and the future of the valley at the February Chamber Luncheon. What excites me is the role our Chamber has in shaping this future. As we continue to work together with a shared love for our mountain town, we’ll see a valley that has common unity, or in other words, community.
