We often say in our office that visitors don’t care about county lines. They’ll go to the activities that attract them regardless of where they are. In some ways, our recent economic growth feels similar. As both Summit and Wasatch Counties grow toward each other, so does the need for regional collaboration between our communities. To this end, Heber Valley Chamber and Park City Chamber have teamed up to once again bring back the Wasatch Back Economic Summit on May 17. This summit will focus on issues, challenges, and opportunities related to our two counties. The summit will feature speakers on employee recruitment, discussions on housing, exploring transit, and future growth in the area. All of these topics are designed to help businesses get a glimpse at what is coming and prepare for the future in a meaningful way. See the info below for more information about registration. We look forward to seeing you at the Wasatch Back Economic Summit on May 17 at Zermatt Utah Resort & Spa.
Earlier this month, we were fortunate to have the Wasatch CAPS Director, Weston Broadbent, emcee the Chamber Luncheon event. We invited several non-profit organizations to come speak and share information about their programs and ways for local businesses and residents to get involved. The microphone was then opened to all attendees to share any community updates and information. These luncheons are a key networking event and allow local businesses to connect and learn about what is happening in our town.
