Utah Ice Castles

Tens of thousands of people visit the Utah Ice Castles in Midway, Utah each winter. Ice sculptors and architects spend a combined 4,000+ hours "growing" icicles, embedding color-changing LED lighting, and creating a unique icy fortress.

The acre-sized frozen castle creation in Midway, Utah is one of a few Ice Castles locations in the world. These magical winter wonderlands are becoming top travel destinations for the visitors of all ages. The castles feature ice-carved tunnels, fountains, slides, frozen thrones, and towers that reach astonishing heights. LED lights frozen inside 25 million pounds of ice twinkle to music, adding a magical ambiance to the already awe-inspiring structures. Horse drawn sleigh rides take guests through a beautiful light display on the backside of the castle structure. Learn more about how the Ice Castles are created each year.
