Salt Lake City, UT (7/18/2024) - The IOC election to decide the host of the 2034 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games is less than one week away — Wednesday, July 24. Here’s a snapshot of key activities. TIME UPDATE ON JULY 24 ANNOUNCEMENT
The SLC-UT 2034 presentation and election are a part of the IOC Session at the Le Palais des Congrès de Paris. The estimated time for the SLC-UT 2034 presentation has been advanced slightly.

DELEGATION AIRPORT SEND OFF
The Salt Lake City Department of Airports is hosting an Olympic Send-Off Party to wish the Utah delegation bon voyage as they board a Delta Air Lines nonstop flight to Paris.

SLC-UT DELEGATION EMBASSY VISIT
US Ambassador to France Denis Bauer will host the SLC-UT 2034 delegation for its first function in Paris. The event is open to media by RSVP. Please advise by Friday, July 19 if you plan to attend. Media should bring identification for entrance.

FESTIVAL 24 - YOUTH SPORTS EVENT
Over 500 youth from 37 nations will participate in Festival 24, including six teens from Utah. The stage presentation will include Lindsey Vonn and Utah First Lady Abby Cox, as SLC-UT 2034 announces a partnership with Paris-based Sport dans le Ville.
