Introducing "Electric Horseman" and a Major Terrain Expansion
Sundance Mountain Resort proudly unveils our most ambitious terrain expansion in decades. The Electric Horseman high-speed quad will transform the back mountain experience, connecting new and existing terrain, cutting ride times, and revealing views you've never seen before.
With 165 acres of new skiing and riding terrain coming over the next two winters, this isn't just an expansion—it's a new chapter in our Act 2 transformation.
Electric Horseman will redefine your back mountain adventures, rising 1,850 vertical feet in just six minutes from the Wildwood base to Bearclaw Summit.
This new high-speed quad from Doppelmayr will create access to all back mountain terrain, and paired with Outlaw Express, means 100% of Sundance Resort’s terrain is accessible by high-speed lift.
This upcoming season brings the first phase of our expansion with additional terrain in the Far East area. Nine new trails will debut, featuring a mix of tree runs, challenging chutes, and two new intermediate runs.
The crown jewel of this expansion will be a signature groomed run along the Far East ridge that promises to become legendary in Utah skiing, offering spectacular 360° views from Utah Valley to Heber Valley and three mountain lakes over 1,850 vertical feet.
When fully completed, Electric Horseman will unlock an additional 105-acre bowl adjacent to the beloved Bishop's Bowl – terrain that's been hidden in plain sight until now. Point your tips down Provo Canyon for turns with vistas you've never experienced before.
The finished project delivers top-to-bottom skiing on ALL back mountain runs in just six minutes and a seamless mountain experience.
Throughout summer and fall, we'll be sharing construction updates and behind-the-scenes glimpses of this exciting project.
