HEBER VALLEY, UTAH (August 4, 2026)—Nestled in the Wasatch Mountains less than an hour from Salt Lake City, the picturesque alpine village of Midway invites travelers to experience one of Utah's most beloved cultural celebrations as the Annual Swiss Days Festival returns Friday, September 4, and Saturday, September 5, 2026 in Heber Valley.

Drawing tens of thousands of visitors each Labor Day weekend, Swiss Days celebrates Midway's Swiss heritage with two days of artisan shopping, authentic cuisine, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and the welcoming charm of one of Utah's most unique mountain communities. For 79 years, Swiss Days has celebrated the traditions, culture, and community spirit established by Midway's Swiss pioneers, growing into one of Utah's signature Labor Day weekend events.

More than 180 juried artisans and boutique vendors fill the open-air market set up at Midway Town Square with handcrafted goods, fine art, jewelry, home décor, specialty foods, apparel, and one-of-a-kind gifts. This annual event creates one of the region's premier outdoor specialty shopping experiences. Throughout the festival, visitors can enjoy traditional Swiss favorites alongside local food vendors, live performances, Saturday morning parade, Swiss Days 10K, and the community's popular chuckwagon breakfast.

The excitement extends beyond the festival grounds as Midway's surrounding boutiques offer extended hours, host pop-up vendors outside their storefronts, and transform the neighboring streets into an expansive shopping district featuring more than 30 additional local artisans and specialty retailers.

Admission to Swiss Days is free. Due to the festival's popularity and crowded walkways, dogs are not permitted, and families with infants or toddlers are encouraged to use baby carriers instead of strollers or wagons for easier navigation. Complimentary shuttle service is available from designated parking areas, helping reduce traffic and providing convenient access to the festival. Visitors planning a Labor Day weekend getaway are encouraged to reserve lodging early, as accommodations throughout Heber Valley fill quickly during the holiday weekend. And those visiting on Saturday can enjoy a barbecue dinner, new to the festival this year.
