The Chamber of Commerce will spotlight a Chamber member each month on our website and in our newsletter. This is a chance to get to know some of our businesses and the people who run them a little better. If you are interested in having your business spotlighted, please send an email to [email protected].

Take a moment to get to know the Neerings family at Abe Neerings and Son Heating and Plumbing. They have been serving Wasatch and Summit Counties since 1960 from their offices in Midway. They are locally owned and operated and work with both home owners and commercial customers. They are experts with plumbing and HVAC solutions.

What does your business do?

Fire Sprinklers, Sewer Inspection, Geothermal, Central Vacuum Systems, Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning, and much, much more.

How many people work at your place of business?

3

1. How long has your business been operating?

Since 1960

2. What do you do and how do you specialize in that area? What makes your business unique?

Things done right is our moto. We care about what we put our name on. We are at the forefront of our trade, through continuing education with the apprenticeship program.

3. What is the story on how and why you started your business?

Great-grandpa got laid off during the depression and started a plumbing company. Here we are four generations later, training the fifth generation to continue our tradition of hard work.

4. Are you new to the Heber Valley (in the past 2 years)?

No

5. What are the benefits of being a part of the Heber Valley Chamber of Commerce?

We're hoping, with the new growth in the valley, that you'll help us by letting people know we're not the people in Salt Lake. We want people to know that when your neighbor says, "Call the Neerings..." they mean us, your neighbor down the street.

6. Why did you decide to become a member of the Chamber?

We're hoping, with the new growth in the valley, that you'll help us by letting people know we're not the people in Salt Lake. We want people to know that when your neighbor says, "Call the Neerings..." they mean us, your neighbor down the street.

7. What do you hope to contribute to the Chamber?

The view of a long-time resident and a company who knows how to serve, work hard, and likes things done right.

8. Who are your clients/customers? Who do you serve?

We serve in Wasatch and Summit Counties.

9. Share a few sentences about your family and your hobbies outside of work?

The Neerings family loves to get together and spend time as family. We love enjoying the outdoors and working together to accomplish great things.

10. What are some of your greatest accomplishments in your professional and personal life?

Raising five hardworking, dedicated children to carry on the family tradition of serving those around us.

11. What drives you to do what you do for a living?

We enjoy working with our hands, to produce honest quality work for our neighbors.
