Mountainland Association of Governments (MAG) has launched an Emergency Small Business Grant Program in response to COVID-19. The goal of the program is to assist small businesses located in Summit or Wasatch County, that have been hit hardest by the coronavirus outbreak.
Funding for the program is provided through Utah State’s Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The CDBG program received additional funding to address COVID-19 through the recently passed CARES Act. Eligible businesses my apply for up to $5,000 each. “The livelihood of small business owners and their employees hinges on how successfully businesses can withstand this ongoing challenge. We are using our allocated funds to assist as many small businesses as possible” said Michelle Carroll, Deputy Director of MAG.
