"Hosting the Outdoor Summit in the Heber Valley is a perfect fit, and gives us an opportunity to showcase all the outdoor amenties our valley has to offer," said Ryan Starks, executive director of Heber Valley Tourism and Economic Development.
The Summit is focused on providing "engaging outdoor activities, educational workshops, and inspiring speakers" to help promote, protect and preserve Utah's unique outdoor offering. Each year outdoor recreation contributes over $12.3 billion to Utah economy and provides over 100,000 jobs.
Heber Valley's outdoor recreation is major contributor to the overall health and diversity of the local economy. Hundreds of people in the valley working in outdoor related fields such as guides and outfitters to State Park and Federal Lands employees.
